Work travel has officially begun.  I’m visiting the lovely city of Austin to check out their pubs, restaurants, bars, and shops.  Okay… I’m also here to disassemble an electron microscope and ship it back to the factory, but who’s counting.

So far I’ve had lunch with a good friend of mine in Denver and tried a Texas burger chain.  Tonight I’m going to check out an Irish pub in town that’s supposed to have good music and decent beer.  Who knows how the rest of the week will fare, but with a start like this, it can’t go too wrong.

Well, tonight I’m flying out of Cedar Rapids headed for San Antonio, Texas. I’m off to give a workshop presentation at a CCCCs conference. When I figure out what 4Cs stands for I’ll be glad to fill you in.I will be flying back into Iowa Sunday. Hopefully the site will be up and ready to be worked on by then.

I’ll be sure to take some pictures and put them up while I’m back. And hey! Now that I know what the Alamo is, I’ll get to see it.
