This month I’m working at a semiconductor company in the hills around Eugene. We’re installing one of our higher end FEG microscopes for them.
They have an interesting site. Every day when I come to work I have to put on booties before I can enter their building. They want to keep their floors nice and clean so everyone in the first building either needs to wear inside shoes or shoe covers.
Eugene itself is kind of an odd town too. It seems to be a town of extremes. There don’t appear to be very many middle of the road people. But there sure are a lot of hippies and rednecks out and about.
